We are skydiving
Our team decided to celebrate such a significant event in an original way, not at traditional festive tables, so that the company's birthday would become a really bright, memorable event in the life of each employee. At the eve of the holiday we had a lot of offers about the way and the place to hold it. As our employees are active and creative people, there were lots of enticing offers, and it was quite difficult to choose the best one. Let's look what kind of celebration we chose!
Our team decided that BTOMO employees would celebrate the company's birthday in the air! We chose skydiving. We decided to organize such event in neighboring Miass, at DZ Ustinovo.
The weather was fine and on the scheduled day our whole team drove several cars to the “assault landing zone”. For some it was the first parachute jump (Albert Zinnurov – Head of the Engineering Department, Sergey Gerasimov – Senior Engineer of the Engineering Department and many others), for others it was not even the tenth one (our CEO Sergey Litkovets) but everyone was nervous before the flight. The instruction ended, the parachute sack was put on – and we were ready for skydiving.
It was surprising but our girls are not less brave than our guys, just have a look at the face of our secretary Masha Sikirzhitskaya =)
Do you know how old was our most senior parachute diver at the moment of jumping? He was 59!!! And it was his first jump!!! Our dearest Mikhail Fedorovich, it is a good job!!!
Of course, it wasn't easy for many of us to make a step into open space from the airplane's door. It is not a secret that everyone has the fear of heights, including experienced parachute divers but no one remained on the board. The step to the sky, fall, countdown – ring – and the canopy opened, the parachute was floating in the air, IT WAS GREAAT!!!
The emotions that we experienced were difficult to express but we can say the one thing – no other sports can give the greater adrenaline rush. It has been said that the air gives wings and makes you clean. Employees' faces after the jump were shining in a special way and their smiles were also special.
Of course, afterwards we had congratulations on the jump, festive tables, friendly chats and toasts to good landing, but the main event of the day – skydiving to celebrate the birthday of BTOMO will be forever remembered by each employee!
